Like I mentioned last week, I fly to San Francisco tomorrow (getting there Wednesday evening local time). I’ll be spending about three weeks there. For the first couple of weeks I’m staying in San Francisco city. For my final week, I’m yet to book my hotel.
If you live around there, or have been there. I need inputs from you:
Places to eat: I happened to notice that my hotel is between Chinatown and Japantown, for what it’s worth. That said, I need recos on good food to eat in SF. And remember that this time I’m going there representing an early stage startup that is in the process of raising a small round - so don’t suggest expensive stuff.
Things to eat: What are things I should eat when I’m in SF? I’m trying to go low carb nowadays but that apart, I don’t have any restrictions.
Beer: Interesting places to try craft beer in. In general, having had craft beer only in Bangalore and in the UK, I can tell you that I like IPAs. Give recommendations for both SF and elsewhere in the Bay Area
Coffee: What are some interesting coffee shops to try? From the point of view of the quality of the coffee? Remember that I’m a snob who makes his own coffee (carrying along my Aeropress Go and trusty light roast beans for my morning cup)
Coffee shops: I’m there for meetings but also need to get work done, so I’ll be doing a lot of work from coffee shops. Again, want recos for across the Bay Area (primarily SF, Palo Alto, etc.) on coffee shops where I can park and work.
Things to see and do: Despite expecting a busy schedule for myself, I hope that there will be time to roam around, see things, experience things, etc. Tips on walkable areas of SF (assuming they exist) will also be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
